Well, its official, FOOTBALL season is here! Which makes for some long days for a Mama of two Daddy's girls! My strategy is to keep them as busy as possible-so for today we played puzzles, drew pictures, colored, sang songs, danced like there's no tomorrow and introduced the movie Sound of Music. There is only so much Mary Poppins, Babes in Toyland, and Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang a Mom can take. That was just till lunch! After we met Josh, I was sure the girls would lay down for naps. After all I needed one just as badly as they did. Every Mom knows there's a window and if you miss it the rest of the day is pretty much shot! My goal was to get them down by at least 1:30. (Which is much better than the 3:00 they have been taking lately and staying up most of the night.) But it really doesn't matter what my goal was because it didn't happen! Both girls were wide awake and not interested in a nap. Which meant an active afternoon also. We went bike riding around the neighborhood twice, went to the park, played ball, bubbles and brought out the sidewalk chalk. They loved it! We left a message for their Daddy to see when he got home. It was a nice surprise for him. Needless to say once baths and Barney were over the girls (including me) were exhausted. Goodnight, Sleep tight!
